Using your USB Modem to access the Internet:
Now you can manage your Pre Paid internet SMART 3G delight feature through simple, easy to remember SMS codes. This option comes in handy especially if you are using your SMART Pre Paid SIM for Internet on a USB Modem which is connected to a Laptop or PC.

The SMS codes allow you to activate your preferred choice of 3G Delight feature, check your available data balance, your account balance, and also recharge your account anytime.

To receive these important codes via a SMS just type DATA and send it to 7678.

Using SMS codes through the USB Modem:
Just select the SMS window which is available on the Connection Manager on the USB Modem and use the following SMS codes:


     
  To Activate 3G delight  
Delight option SMS  to be typed as The number the SMS should be sent to*
3G Daily Delight 25 D25 7678
3G Daily Delight 50 D50 7678
3G Weekly Delight 75 D75 7678

     
  Checking available balance  
Option SMS to be typed as The number the SMS should be sent to*
To check account balance AB 7678
To check the expiry date and available data balance of the 3G delight feature DB 7678

     
  Recharge  
To recharge the Pre Paid account using SMS on the USB Modem

Type the 14 Digit Pin and SMS this to 141



Is there any charge for SMS’ sent to 7678?

No. SMS’ sent to 7678 is free of charge.


How do I recharge my account without removing the SIM from the USB modem?
You can recharge your account in the following ways.



SmartShare:
You can use this feature that allows you to transfer some of your credit on one SMART number to another SMART number.

SMART Electronic Reload: You can recharge your SMART account by visiting any of our outlets or the nearest retailer shop. SMART Reload is a mechanism where customers can top up their SMART pre-paid accounts electronically with the flexibility to reload from Rs. 20/- to Rs. 2990/-.via SMS.

SMS Reloads: If you have a Mobitel account, and if you bank with HNB, Sampath Bank, Commercial Bank or HSBC, you can re-load your SMART Pre Paid account through a simple SMS. For more details and registrations visit your nearest Mobitel, HNB, Sampath Bank, Commercial Bank or HSBC branch.

Online top ups: You can make online payments through your credit card by registering your account at www.mobitel.lk.

Can I recharge the SMART SIM in my device using a Mobitel postpaid number?
Yes. You can recharge your SMART SIM using a recharge card that can be purchased from any retail outlet. Just type in the text message # and send it to 141.

For example, if you want to recharge the account of 071 555 5555 and the PIN (the 14 digit number in the scratch panel of the recharge card) is 12345678901234, key in 12345678901234#0715555555 and send it to 141.
