SMS Roaming Guide

Activating SMS Roaming

Type a sms ACT1 and Send to 9911, this should be done about Half an hour prior to leaving Sri Lanka. (Please note all voice services will be lost as soon as this message is sent)

Deactivating SMS Roaming

Type a sms DCT1 and Send to 9911, this should be done after returning to Sri Lanka.

Sending messages

While roaming, if you wish to send an SMS to Sri Lanka, this could be done in any one of the following ways;
      Eg.        +94 71x xxx xxx
                  94 71x xxx xxx
                       071x xxx xxx
                         71x xxx xxx

      While roaming, if you wish to send an SMS to another country apart from Sri Lanka this could be done as follows;
      Eg. SMS to UK -
                  +44 71x xxx xxx

Receiving Messages

From Sri Lanka and any other destination
Sender has to type message and send it to your number in the format +9471*******
Charging will be based on SMS rates + Roaming Surcharge of the operator selected by you in the Country you roam.
