Mobitel, the 'National' mobile service provider in Sri Lanka, is constantly expanding service coverage across all major cities to provide continuous connectivity and clarity to its valued current as well as prospective customers around the country. We became the Network that deployed the fastest GSM network in Sri Lanka when we completed our 300th base station in August 2005, just 18 months after the launch.

Mobitel delivers enhanced solutions via introduction of new technologies and with a commitment to increasing network capacity. We are positioned to increase our base stations to 2000 by the end of the first quarter of 2009. With new base stations being built across the country, we're reaching more places, just so that you can count on Mobitel for quality services and maximized mobile coverage in Sri Lanka.
