We became the Network that deployed the fastest GSM network in Sri Lanka when we completed our 300th base station in August 2005, just 18 months after the launch.

Mobitel delivers enhanced solutions via introduction of new technologies and with a commitment to increasing network capacity. We are positioned to increase our current presence of over 910 GSM and 400 3G base stations around Sri Lanka to over 1030 GSM and 450 3G base stations by the end of August 2008.
