Mobitel to sponsor the Gunner Super Cross 2007

Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel is the proud sponsor of the Gunner Super Cross 2007, which will be held for the fourth consecutive year on the 8th of July at the Artillery Complex in Minneriya.

Organized jointly by The Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery and The Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers, the main purpose of this event is to support the fallen soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for their motherland and their next of kin by providing welfare in terms of financial and material assistance. Since its inception in 2004, it has earned its reputation as a much looked forward to prime motor sports event in Sri Lanka. The excitement will unfold at the Minneriya gravel track, which was constructed especially for this event, and promises sports enthusiasts and spectators with the entertainment and thrills of motor sports.

Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel as the National Service Provider once again steps up to support an event of this nature, CARE being a core ingredient in their value system. Caring for their customers and community, Mobitel comes forward to encourage and support Sri Lankan sport and culture and help to uplift the lives of the families of the fallen soldiers who have so unselfishly sacrificed their lives for their motherland.
